Spare change?

Josh and I were walking along 14th St. last night by Union Square and we passed a man asking passersby for spare change.

I heard him say, "Hey man, can you spare any change for hookers and condoms?"

Josh said, "Did he just say what I think he said?"

I wonder if the guy got more money with his honest begging.
